At the two candidate forums, crime and drugs was high on several candidates and residents minds.  I have come to learn that we do have a problem.  How do we fix it?  Do we need more police officers?  Do we need more after school programs for kids to get involved in?

Budgets are one of the hardest things to do.  Why is this?  Well, when you have multiple departments fighting for X amount of dollars, who you give these dollars to and who does not get any dollars becomes a very hard decision. 

What are your thoughts?

I happen to live in an area of town that does not have some of the town services like water and sewer.  But I do know that we should be including dollars in the town budget to upgrade some of these services.  It's not all going to happen at the same time, but we can be thinking about the future and planning for it.

Are you paying too much or too little?  Should rates be increased? Or not?

Economic development should be one of the top priorities of the town council.   We need to attract several more large employers to open up shop in Wickenburg.  We have several locations around town where these business can make this happen, we just need to think outside the box to attract these employers.

Annexation, is it good or bad for the town? 

I live in an area of town that was annexed a couple of year ago.  I now can vote on matters that affect the town and I can run for town office among many other things.  

Annexing is one of the ways we will be able to protect our western and small town way of life.
